Who We Are
The Garces Foundation is a community-based, nonprofit organization committed to providing Philadelphia’s immigrant population the healthcare, education, and support to empower them to fulfill their potential as citizens and enjoy the highest possible quality of life.

Our Programs
The Garces Foundation runs four key activities directed toward immigrant populations in South Philadelphia

English for Restaurant and Everyday Living (EREL)
12-week English language instruction tailored to the restaurant industry, aimed at advancing careers.

Community Health Days
These quarterly events deliver quality medical care to the uninsured and under-insured immigrant community of Philadelphia.

Garces Foundation Food Pantry
Amid the pandemic, families in our neighborhoods struggled and many of them experienced food insecurity.

Sonrisa Dental Program
The Sonrisa program delivers both routine dental care and emergency treatment for free or at low cost to the community.

Get Involved
We seek volunteers to help us at our Community Health Days, especially people with dental or medical training. We are also always looking for help at our English for the Restaurant and Everyday Living program, whether your gift is with language or experience in the service industry.
